The next generation of KEEN hybrid sandals: for women, by women.

The Newport sandals is the KEEN sandal that kicked it all off, and after over 15 years it still is a fan favourite and remains a #1 bestseller.

Over the years, KEEN has taken in a considerable amount of feedback from their fans and created hybrid sandals with inspiration from the Newport sandals. Among these, there have been women who mentioned that the roomy, toe-wiggling KEEN Original Feet is a tad too roomy for their feet.

This got the KEEN design team thinking: about creating a new riff on the Newport design, with a more streamlined for more narrow-footed female fans, with a touch of feminine flair that wouldn't look out of place when paired with a sundress or a polished pair of shorts.

Hence, the latest addition to KEEN's hybrid sandal posse was added: the Astoria West. What sets this apart from other sandals? The sister to Newport has a Contoured Fit that's comfortably snug, comes in fresh colour combos, slim webbing straps, a sleek toe bumper and subtle lift in the outsole. The intensely grippy outsole and anti-slip zonal siping allows for adventures, and eco Anti-Odor technology fights smelly shoe syndrome without using harsh chemicals that harm the environment.

We call it a “hybrid sandal,” meaning it’s kind of a sandal, kind of a shoe. It can jump into the water or explore a trail.
