Yesah x Teeteeheehee SS14: Psychedelic Trip Under The Sea
Why add a splash of colour to your wardrobe when you can fill it with an ocean of brilliant colours? Switch up your wardrobe this year with the launch of Yesah x Teeteeheehee capsule collection S/S14: Psychedelic Trip Under The Sea, a collection of dreamy and kooky pieces. We’re talking jellyfish pink, the calm blue of the sea and metallic green like that of a mermaid’s gleaming tail.
Mastermind of Yesah, DJ and designer Linda Hao was heavily under the influence of electronic, pillowy synth-disco music when she got the inspiration for this collection. Her wandering mind saw a mermaid getting lost under the sea, weaving through corals and glistening sea creatures, the electronic beats transforming into underwater magic. This imagery was made into reality in the form of textures and prints when Linda turned to Teresa Lim, a fashion textile designer and illustrator who goes under the online moniker Teeteeheehee. Teresa surrounded herself with the same musical inspiration that Linda did, visualising the colours and prints as she listened to fresh music. Translating her ideas into prints that could be worn, it was then that the Yesah x Teeteeheehee capsule collection: Psychedelic Trip Under The Sea was created.
The collection brings you into the magical depths of the sea through the use of sequins, scallop prints and shells. The pieces range from $79 to $149 for their brilliantly psychedelic water coloured tank tops, leggings, button downs, tees and skirts. This marks Yesah’s debut apparel collection, which carries Yesah’s iconic energy and boldness that could be seen in their previous signature tote bag range ‘YES TOTES’, as well as ‘A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE FOOD’ – a range of bags inspired by food.
