Wonderfruit Unveils Thrilling Phase 2

plus inspiring speakers, invigorating wellness and family activities.

Pattaya, Thailand, 5 September 2017 – Wonderfruit, Thailand’s pioneering, sustainable, cross-cultural, live celebration of art, music and ideas has announced its momentous phase 2 lineup, which includes diverse music acts from all over the world, thought-provoking arts, talks and workshops, sumptuous food offerings, an array of family-friendly activities and more. Returning to The Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya, Thailand from December 14-17 for the fourth time, Wonderfruit will bring together a global community of Wonderers to celebrate creativity and sustainability, to make a positive impact on the environment.

For its second phase, Wonderfruit adds more names to the carefully curated list of music acts that span the spectrum of musical moods and tones. Notably at sunset, the celebrations center on Solar Stage, with performances from Space Telexxx and Thai reggae pioneer Gapi and the Thai Dub Mafia,percussion duo Hernandez Brothers and up-and-coming rapper Curtismith from The Philippines, as well as Eduardo Castillo, whose uplifting selections will provide the soundtrack to a cacao ceremony curated by the Colours of Love team. As day slips into night, spectacular performances on Living Stage come courtesy of diverse bands Yeasayer, Wild Beasts, Khruangbin, Roots Manuva, Nerve and Songhoy Blues plus local sensation Singto Numchok, while Wonderers can discover hidden treasures including the acoustic stylings of Vurro and John Will Sail and the soulful disco sounds of Bobby Pleasureand Crew Love Takeover in small and unique venues. Powerful rhythms keep revelers dancing till dawn thanks to DJs Craig Richards, Matt Sassari, Marmosets and Sarayu, who join acts already announced including Richie Hawtin and Gui Boratto. To underline and demonstrate its sustainable mission, Wonderfruit has already announced that selected artists and collaborators will be paid in TREE tokens, a cryptocurrency backed by natural capital and traded on the blockchain. In addition, Wonderers will be given the chance to make their own positive impact by buying a drink linked to TREEs.

Besides music, Wonderers will see The Fields’ permanent structures revamped by some of the world’s best architects and designers, taking them on a new journey of exploration across Wonderfruit’s mesmerizing landscape. The Farm Stage gets a makeover by all(zone), to become a community space with a vast shade of suspended colorful fabrics, while legendary dance destination The Quarry is in the capable hands of Adam Pollina, who promises mind-bending sound and light design. Joy Collective return with a re-imagined Rainforest Pavilion, home to transformational activities and music from Indonesia, all dedicated to preserving rainforest land. Design fans will also be charmed once again by the Ziggurat with Singha, re-conceived but comfy as ever.

Wonderfruit’s seminar series, Scratch Talks adds yet more inspirational speakers and gurus including Dianna Cohen – co-founder and CEO of Plastic Pollution Coalition, Roo Rogers – founder and CEO of venture development lab A2B, scientist and healer John Rogerson, and Matt Monahan aka “The Most Famous Artist”.

To ensure revelers are nourished, an array of clean bites and delights including organic pad Thai, natural pork sausage and vegan alternatives will be available from Healthy Food TrucksDean & Deluca will satisfy Wonderers with their favorite breakfast goodies and coffee, while Patom will have refreshing organic drinks at the ready. At the heart of The Fields Wonderfruit’s farm is undergoing a makeover to become the FARMacy – home to natural, homegrown remedies and medicinal plants, to prove that nature often provides the best cure.

Wonderers will be able to make the most of workshops with Harmonic Clay, in which they’ll sculpt their own bowls, or elevate their heart rates with adventures including Life Cycling, fitness sessions in the GuavaFruit Zone and Free Running with Team Farang. Revelers looking to rebalance and reconnect can explore ancient traditions including tai chi, kundalini and sound healing. Wonderfruit’s dedicated wellness area, Wonder Garden is arranged along ley lines for elevated energy and within, Wonderers can choose to “Zone in” or “Zone out” with an array of scientific assessments and treatments, including floating, light therapy and more in The Zone.

As always, young Wonderers will be kept occupied with an array of fun activities designed to delight and spark imagination. Those in need of cooling off can make like a water buffalo with a mudslide or paddleboard across the lake with We-SUP. Thailand Little Farmers will encourage little ones to get their hands dirty, while creative kids let loose with paints and colors on the Wonder Wall – all within Camp Wonder.

Wonderfruit takes place from 14 to 17 December in The Fields at Siam Country Club, just 150 kilometers (two hours’ drive) southeast of Bangkok.
