The Used Live in Singapore | Pre-Event

Remember those days in early 2000s listening to loud rock music, with your entire body pumping with teen angst? You are always decked out in band tee-shirts, jeans and highcut chucks at the latest rock gig during the weekends and your mp3 player definitely  had a mix of songs from bands such as My Chemical Romance, Funeral For a Friend , Brand New and The Get Up Kids.

Well your prayers to catch any of these alternative rock heroes have been answered! Brought to you by the folks at Live! Empire, Utah-based rock quartet The Used will be making their first live appearance in Singapore on 18th May at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel. The band has included Singapore as their Asian pitstop in their “Vulnerable” tour to promote their fifth album of the same name.

The band rose to fame in 2002 with their self-titled first album, which was commercially successful, with hits such as “A Box Full of Sharp Objects” and “The Taste of Ink”. In 2004, they released “In Love and Death” which in my opinion, is the best album they have produced so far. The title of the songs and the music produced in this album is also a reference to the tragic events that surrounded Bert during the album’s production, particularly the death of his pregnant girlfriend.

Be sure to catch The Used as they rock The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel Singapore and expect a night of loud thumping screamo music fromt Bert Mccracken and gang! And don’t forget to wear your old The Used tee shirt to the show!
