Slava’s Snowshow | A Review

Enter a strange world of beauty and theatrical magic at Slava’s Snowshow, which premiered last night at The Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands! Well-renowned Russian clown, Slava Polunin, takes Singapore by storm with his latest crafted masterpiece through a magical journey of surreal imagery and peculiarity.

Staged in a dream-like world of cloudy seas, bubbles and snow-covered mountains, Slava’s Snowshow is bound to bring out the inner child in you. The audience is led into the plot by a troupe of mischievous and vagrant clowns, through a series of vignettes which are accompanied by hauntingly powerful soundtracks. Most of the audience are often left perplexed by the plot but regardless, enjoyed themselves thoroughly as the show is a perfect blend of theatre, music, comedy and entertainment.

Slava’s Snowshow is well known for leaving their audience awestruck with surprises and an unexpected turn of events, ala coups de théâtre, throughout the two-hour show. One of the highlights of the show will be the interactive moments shared between the cast and the audience where the clowns personally made them laugh with their buffoonery and antics. The show constantly reminds us that no one is ever too old to enjoy clowns.

Slava Polunin takes clowning to a whole new level with Slava’s Snowshow and you have to get the best seats in the theatre to feel the full effect of this magical wonder! No theatre finale quite compare to this! But be warned, Slava’s Snowshow is a show that will blow you away.

Literally.
