Singapore Guide | Music – The Pinholes
Bring on the smiles with the boys from The Pinholes. Known for their quirky eyewear, moppish hairstyles and retro outfits, their music is a feel-good mixture of classic rock ‘n’ roll, funk, soul, pop and surf—and with it, a generous dash of nostalgia. The quartet writes songs with catchy melodies that capture the soul of Straydogs, the dynamism of Mick Jagger and the harmonic pitching of Beach Boys. Hailed as a class act in the local scene, they recently released their single Sunshine and their latest EP Youth Of Gold. The Pinholes are Famie Suliman, Didi Hailrul Hanafiah and Wando Diao.
Why we love The Pinholes: The Pinholes’s feel-good and insanely catchy songs such as ‘Sunshine’ never fails to put a smile on our face when we listen to their albums! With their musical influences deriving from bands such as The Libertines and dressed at their best like The Beatles, The Pinholes are so wonderful to watch live as they seem to be having loads of fun on stage. And on top of that, the unassuming rockstars are humble and down-to-earth making them easily likeable among their fans and local music supporters. Oh you ding-a-ling-a-lang!
