Singapore Guide | Cafes – Old School Delights
Old School Delights
Old School Delights is about re-living culinary memories of Singapore’s past through authentic recipes handed down through generations. Inspirations behind our cafe lies in our desire to serve home styled food which is still prepared in a traditional manner, using quality fresh ingredients and rempah (paste) that is lovingly hand-cooked for at least 2 hours. What we eat at home is what you eat at OSD. It is our utmost pleasure to take you down memory lane where nostalgia and comfort food are entwined to enhance your dining experience.
The hit to your wallet: From $2.20 for OSD Signature Pulut to $5.50 for a plate of Old School Heritage Mee Siam!
Why we love Old School Delights:
Stemming from their name and our old school tuckshops, this place does classic eats like old local dishes such as laksa, nasi lemak and macaroni. But of course, they too do dishes such as steak and foi gras. Cleverly decorated with vintage toys, this place is fun, right down to their ordering style, which involves a wooden whiteboards. This place would invoke old nostalgic memories especially since its decorated to remind one of being in a classroom.
