Singapore Guide | Cafes – Fika Café

Fika Café

In the corner of the row of shophouses at Beach Road, a café called Fika, which means “taking a break from work” in Swedish, perfectly embodies it’s name. Furnished with white-painted furniture, Fika welcomes you into their simple yet homely café offering halal Swedish food. The food served is authentic homemade Swedish and you won’t find fusion between the Asian and Scandinavian kitchen. Their extensive menu includes open faced sandwiches, crepes, salads and cold soups made of blueberries.

The hit to your wallet: From $6.90 for the soup of the day to $17.90 for a plate of pasta.

Why we love Fika Cafe: Their meatballs are superb! We enjoy them as much as the owner herself does, as she proudly says “My meatballs are the best Halal ones you will find in Singapore.”
