People of Surabaya

Enticing in its own ways, Surabaya boasts a rich history of Indonesia’s independence and is one of the busiest ports in Indonesia, exporting mainly sugar, tobacco and coffee.

Many of the locals there worked in the services and retail sectors, with Surabaya being a hot spot for shopping in Indonesia. They are exceptionally friendly and accommodating to strangers and foreigners.
