KyoAni’s Violet Evergarden is looking pretty good
Kyoto Animation, or KyoAni, has recently released their latest preview for the upcoming highly-anticipated new Sci-Fi animation series, Violet Evergarden, and it is nothing short of amazing.
If you are a fan of KyoAni’s works including more popular ones such as Beyond the Boundary, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid or even last year’s most hyped Japanese teen drama film, A Silent Voice, this is not something you would want to miss—especially if you are into high-quality animation and visual appeal.
Violet Evergarden, as far as we know, is a Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Drama animation that focuses on a machine, or rather, a doll, named Violet Evergarden whose main function was originally to help her creator’s wife with her daily life. However, production of these dolls soon spread out to the entire world and companies were made to lend them out. You may read more and learn about what other anticipating fans have theorised about the show so far on this Reddit page here.
This animation was adapted from a Light Novel written by Kana Akatsuki in 2015, who won the Grand Prize for the annual Kyoto Animation Awards competition in 2016. Thus, allowing it to be eligible and accepted to be an animation. This Light Novel is currently only available in Japanese, here in Kyoto Animation’s official website.
However, despite the language barrier, if there is anything that fans of Japanese animation can flock to is some high quality, eye-opening animations—and who better to exemplify this than Kyoto Animation.
If there is anything KyoAni never fails to deliver, it is their distinct art style and excellent, high-budget animations that really grab people’s attention. Just from viewing their countless works of art, it is apparent that they take everything they do seriously and sure enough, it sure pays off. For us, the viewers, at least. I am sure it takes months and months of tireless work on the drawing board for them. Kudos, KyoAni.
