Skip Plan A, Go PLAN B

Ask any proud KLlites what they think about Bangsar, and you’ll probably get a hundred and one answers: some good, some bad and a few in between. One thing most KLites will agree is that Bangsar has some of the best cafes and eateries in Kuala Lumpur, making this an extremely competitive place to open an F&B business.

So what would you do if you had some spare cash and wanted to open a restaurant here? Well, ask the owners of Plan B, because this new café just opened in Bangsar Village. What is the magic formula? Simple: good food, good people and a great ambience!

Let’s start with the menu. Their menu runs into pages! For starters their breakfast menu takes up an entire page. It has lighter items such as Toast and Eggs Benedict, to heavy-duty ones like Corned Beef Hash and Plan B Breakfast Platter. The best part is, breakfast is served until 6pm! You can literally wake up at 3pm in the afternoon and pretend it’s the morning and the sun is still rising in the east.

In addition to the breakfast list, the menu is really extensive. They have soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, finger foods and an entire page (again!) of pasta. There is also an Asian menu, with the typical list of Malaysian favourites such as Nasi Lemak (see, another dish for your late breakfast), Nyonya Laksa and Ayam Masak Merah.

After all that lovely food, I am sure you would still succumb to the temptation of the dessert bar. One look, and your diet can wait. There’s Carrot Cake, Lamingtons, Tarts, Brownie, Orange Poppy Seed Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Truffle Torte, etc etc.

Accompany your dessert with a fantastic cup of coffee. The beans are flown all the way from the Prahran Market, Melbourne. The Flat White is the BEST in town. Period.

This is after all, a typical scene of a good Malaysian café: a warm friendly atmosphere, filled with friends, families and acquaintances, all sharing and enjoying some good food and priceless company.
