2012 Singapore St Jerome’s Laneway Festival
The adage ‘the bigger the better’ might be kind of an overstatement in most cases. However, there are some exceptions, and ‘music festivals’ hover pretty much near the top of our list. Whether it be line-up, crowds or duration, we can’t help but ask for more.
It seems that the organizers of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival have heard our pleas and they are returning to Singapore next year for the second time with an edition of Laneway that will bring any self respecting music lover to their knees. A total of fourteen acts will be gracing our shores, with headliner Feist alongside other up-and-coming bands such as The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Cults, M83, and Wu Lyf.
Held once again at Fort Canning Park which indubitably helps heighten the festival atmosphere, it promises to be a day crammed to the brim with back to back performances. We fully expect you sacrifice your eardrums for the sake of this magical aural experience.
If this year’s Laneway Festival was anything to go by at all, next year’s will be nothing short of spectacular. And all at the nifty price of SGD135 too—which regular concertgoers would know is too much of a bargain to pass up, considering the number of brilliant artists performing.
The 2012 Laneway Festival will be held on Sunday, 12 February. For the full line-up visit their website here.
