Wear What Wear

Singapore and its borderline weather – you can’t really do anything about that. But you can switch things up in your wardrobe and do the adjusting yourself.

Here are 5 sets of outfits you can work around on to not further unhinge your sweat glands outdoors and keep you toasty and warm in nippy environments. Two birds with one stone, dearies.

#01 – Knit sweater / runner shorts / studded ankle boots / gold anklets

Who says you can’t sport winter wear in a tropical country? If you’re going to don a top that offers arm-length coverage on a warm day, clash on the bottom part by wearing something short. A pair of runner shorts is not only comfy but it offers maximum gam exposure, too.

#02 – Comfiest tee you own / Leather skirt / platform sandals / a lunch bag? / ski sunglasses

As we advance towards the end of the year (if not the end of the world), global trend items such as leather anything come out to play. Pair your favorite tee with a faux leather skirt and girly platform sandals and create a contrast with brash sporty eyewear. A quirky bag would complete the pseudo-ultimate look-at-me casual outfit.

#03 – Gradient denim shirt / studded denim shorts / wooden wedges / leopard-print sunglasses

Denim knows no season, and what would be better than a single piece of denim? Double denim. For a play on the cowboy sub-trend, wear your denim button-down with a pair of studded shorts and finish it off with wooden wedges. Slick on a red lippie and this look will take you from day to night.

#04 – Military shirt dress / flat boots / triangle bra / rose-gold watch

Yessiree! Deck yourself out in army green duds plus your trusty boots for a subtle take on the military swing. Let’s not forget about the intimates – embrace your bosom buddies with a triangle bra that is both fresh to the sight and feel. Last but not least, don’t neglect those tarnishing jewellery, because rose gold is the new – well, gold. Guess you’re gonna thank those sweaty palms, eh?

#05 – Embroidered blouse / ripped denim shorts / minimalist sandals / cross earrings

For that fresh to death impression that is feminine and easy as well, pay your favorite thrift store a visit for boheme yet chic blouses that you can incorporate into your wardrobe, and a pair of well-fitting jeans that you can exert your DIY prowess to. Don’t be afraid to exaggerate and round it all off with huge ass earrings that graze your collarbones (it’s optional though).
