Epicurious

Epicurious is a play on the words “epicure” — a person devoted to enjoyment of good food and drink, and “curio” — for their collection of genuine Singaporean teakwood furniture and knickknacks.

Epicurious represents the best of casual dining in Singapore: home-made, reasonably priced food; friendly, unpretentious service; presented in a unique style that represents the owners’ (Sharon and Helena) personal eclectic interests.

They serve the kind of food that they would serve their own friends and family — healthy, hearty, wholesome, flavourful, and made with the best ingredients. Epicurious is about comfort foods: a great Caesar salad; mushroom soup so thick your spoon can almost stand up in it; the Epicurious burger, succulent and fully loaded; apple crumble just like Aunty Betty’s… Epicurious also has one of the best breakfasts in town (so says Time Out magazine). Because they know that sometimes your taste buds want a bit of titillating, they’ve concocted a couple of dishes that represent a perfect fusion of cuisines, like  Asian smoked salmon salad and spaghetti Vietnamese bolognaise.

The hit to your wallet: From $6.50 for Baked Eggs with Toast Soldiers to $12 for a breakfast burrito

Why we love Epicurious: Their weekend breakfast menu is one that you wouldn’t want to miss.. and you won’t, because they have all-day breakfast!
