Singapore Fashion Film Festival + Free Ticket Giveaways!

When we speak of fashion on a global scale, the “big four” comes to mind. New York City, London, Paris, and Milan each possess unique qualities in fashion sense and trends, yet all share creative elements that justify themselves as some of the top fashion capitals in the world. However, the “big four” is always subject to change depending on seasons and trends, with cities such as Tokyo, Rome, and Hong Kong making its presence known to the fashion world.

With such a constant variation of the “big four”, even Singapore has started producing its own share of fashion designers, and is certainly making progress in the eyes of renowned designers all over the world. And this year, yet another milestone has been set here in sunny Singapore, with the Singapore Fashion Film Festival (SFFF), the first festival to showcase the world of design and fashion right here on local screens.

The SFFF will be held at Sinema, Old School, and Alliance Française de Singapour, and with 10 documentaries (ranging from 52 to 98 minutes long) premiering in Singapore, SFFF provides viewers with the previously rare opportunity of entering the world of high fashion, complete with backstage passes, celebrities and catwalk moments. The festival will last a total of approximately two weeks, from 21 Oct to 5 Nov.

The 10 documentaries will feature some of the world’s most accomplished designers and fashion brands from the “big four” fashion capitals, such as Donatella Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, while also showcasing some of the rising fashion talents of the 21st century such as Taiwanese-American fashion designer Alexander Wang. In addition, documentaries purely showcasing and revealing the hidden side of haute couture and even the award-winning documentary, “Picture Me”, which documents the fashion world from a model’s point of view, will be making their debut here on our shores.
