Phoenix is coming to Singapore! Your "Long Distance Call" finally answered.

The good folks from Now/Live are proud to present Grammy Award winning and critically acclaimed indie rock act, PHOENIX, performing their debut headline show in Singapore on January 15th! Performing hits from their extensive back catalogue including ‘Lisztomania’, ‘1901’ and ‘If I ever feel better’ along with tracks from their latest release ‘Bankrupt!’, this show will be one of the most enthralling of 2014!

Labelled by Pitchfork as “pleasure-pushers, filling tunes with riffs, phrases, and beats a five-yearold could love”
Phoenix are a Grammy Award winning band formed in 1999 in Versailles, France and signed to Glassnote/Loyaute Records. The band consists of Thomas Mars (Lead Vocals), Deck d’Arcy (Bass/Keys), Laurent Brancowitz (Guitar/Keys) and Christian Mazzalai (Guitar). Their live show also includes a touring drummer and keyboard/percussionist.

The band skyrocketed to fame in 2009 through their fourth album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’. The album won ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ at the 2009 Grammy Award and has been certified Gold in the US, Canada and Australia. It also appeared on many ‘Best Of’ end of year lists including Rolling Stone Magazine. Their songs are also featured in several movies such as Sofia Coppola’s Lost In Translation and Somewhere. (Fun fact: Thomas Mars is married to Sofia Coppola herself)

Their fifth and latest album ‘Bankrupt!’ was released in April 2013 and has received strong reviews across the board. In support of this album, Phoenix are conducting a huge world tour, including headline sets at Coachella (joined by R.Kelly), Primavera and Lollapalooza, and have been receiving glowing reviews for their energetic and thrilling live show.
