People in the World | Quan Senay
Every now and then, we meet some really cool people around the world and this time we’re lucky to have bumped into Quan Senay. Quan has the life many of us would envy – running his own website that he are passionate about, and travelling around the world. He is the founder of ChillAudio, a promising online magazine that introduces and shares new music. We’ve all had that time where we just want to find new music, right? ChillAudio will solve that problem, giving you lots of new music all in one place. We speak to Quan, the mastermind behind ChillAudio.
Where do you live now and how long have you been living there?
Currently, I live in Nice, France, and I’ve been living here since I was 9 years old.
Where are you currently working at?
I work at home or at the cyber café. If I have the time, in a library.
What languages are you able to speak?
English, French, Vietnamese, and a little German.
Describe your personality.
My Personality? Mhm, I’d say I’m open minded, but attentive at work when it comes to work hard to get there. I’m curious, but at the same time cautious. I like to discover new countries and meet new people. This is one reason why I travel.
How did Chill Audio come about?
Ah, good question!
The story is quite long, but I’ll make it short. I worked for another music blog: Cozy Beats. It’s been 3 months that I worked at home, and one day I said to myself: why not me?
So I decided to create a new adventure ChillAudio, which I asked my best friend to come with me. And today we have more than 600 subscribers, 30,000 readings on our music, and more than 150 followers on Tumblr, all in less than 7 months.
What is your favourite genre of music?
As I said above, I’m open minded, so I listen to everything, but ChillAudio is primarily the DeepHouse and ChillMusic.
But personally, I love PopRock.
What do you like about travelling to other countries?
First, I don’t consider ChillAudio as a job, but a passion as it is easier to manage it that way. I like to work with others in French because I constantly discover a new mentality, new experiences, new friends, and most importantly fun!
What countries have you travelled to?
Argentina, Italy, Spain, England, USA, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Canada.
What is the best restaurant you’ve been to and where?
Singapore’s seafood restaurant: Jumbo Seafood. The crab chili sauce was a delight. I go there often when I go to Singapore.
What countries would you like to travel to in the future?
I would say Japan, but the traditional side of Japan with Mount Fuji.
Describe your personal style.
I love fashion, music and alcohol. That should say enough about my style 🙂
What is your life motto?
“You live once time, ENJOY YOUR F***ING LIFE”
Last but not least, where can we find you on social media?
Twitter, Tumblr, Blogspot, SoundCloud, and I am working to set up a site called “Com”.
