Iris Tsante graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2008. This Greek-born jewellery designer often uses wood, paper, wax and textile as basis materials in her work, which have connotations of optismism, lightness, simplicity, joy and innocence whilst at the same time, qualities like fragility and vulnerability. Her attraction to materials related to drawing pencils, oil pastels, graphite and paper place her in a league of her own and pushes
boundaries in wearble art. I particularly love her necklace made up of color pencils. It says innocence while being so esthetically pleasing.
